Guidance
Welcome. FC's two guidance counselors and one guidance secretary handle scheduling, new-student registration, standardized testing, and the distribution of information about college and vocational opportunities.

*Spring 2009 ISTEP Information
Results for students “currently” in grades 7, 8., & 9 were
sent home with students on Thursday September 17th. Earlier parents had received
home a letter, which included their student’s code to enable them to
obtain the results online. The paper copy sent home on the 17th is the same
data in printed form.
Parents may contact Mrs. Hart at 294 - 2206 if interested in scheduling a
conference to discuss ISTEP results and remediation plans. Mrs. Hart will
also be available during parent teacher conferences on Monday October 26th
and Tuesday October 27th from 4:30pm – 7:30pm to meet with parents regarding
ISTEP scores.
4-Year Plan Information:
In the 9th grade students begin their 4-year course plan by taking general
courses toward fulfilling the requirements for the CORE-40 Diploma, Academic
Honors Diploma or Technical Honors Diploma. EACH year parents and students
are encouraged to evaluate their academic goals and update their 4-year plan.
The Mustang Course Description Handbook is a vital tool in helping students
choose their classes and course of action. Page 71 includes the four-year
student plan to help in mapping out courses. This is available in the handbook
students received last spring or online on the website.
Parents and students are encouraged to contact the Guidance Office with any
questions regarding this process or to set up a conference to meet with counselors
to complete their plan. Mrs. Hart works with freshmen students and Mrs. Elijah
works with students in grades 10 – 12. Please contact the Guidance Office
at 294-2206 for assistance.
