Vision:
Our vision is that children will leave Southeast Fountain Elementary with: 
  • A strong enthusiasm for learning and improvement of skill levels.

  • A respect for themselves and others.
  • A competence in the basic skills - mathematical, scientific, linguistic, physical, social and artistic

We value the partnership between school, students, parents and community and recognize the important role it plays in realizing this vision.
 
Goals:
  • Hire staff that exhibit encouraging and compassionate traits.
  • Seek professional development in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Find and implement research based strategies in all classrooms.
  • Implement research based assessments that address Indiana state standards.
  • Address the core standards while using textbooks as resources.

Now - Feb. 24 Starting Feb 7, 2012 SEFE will be joining thousands of other students from across the state in collecting spare change and donations from family and friends in order to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Pennies for Patients dress up days. Students can
participate for a 25 cent donation for each day they dress up.
Monday (20th): PJ Day- Help put cancer to bed!
Tuesday (21st): Crazy Hair Day- Help scare away cancer!
Wednesday (22nd): Boot Day- Help stomp away cancer!
Thursday (23rd): Super Hero Day: Cancer Never Wins!
Friday (24th): Hat Day- Put a lid on cancer!

On March 1, 2012 teachers from Indiana Social Health Association will be here to speak with all 5th and 6th grade students about growth and development. If you do not with for your student to participate in this class, please send a note to the nurse by February 27th. If you have any questions regarding what topics will be discussed, please contact the nurse.

Wednesday Delay Schedule

Homework Help (3rd-6th Grade)

  • SEFE will be offering homework help after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This will be after school until 4:30.  If you are interested in having a quiet place for your child to complete homework and obtain needed help, please call Missy Duncan or Leslie Robbins at 294-2216 or email at duncanmi@sefschools.org or robbinsl@sefschools.org to reserve your child’s place.  NOTE:  This program is not the after school detention and should not be considered a punishment.

  • Please help us by clipping Box Tops from the grocery & household items you regularly buy. Encourage your friends and family to collect them as well.
